NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC’S CLEANER TIDES PROJECT
Nat-Geo put out a brief asking for our solution to ocean pollution.
Industrial fishers spend weeks at sea trying to make their entire year’s wage in just one season.
We thought, who better to clean up the ocean than these hardened seafarers?
Introducing Cleaner Tides, a program that pays off-season industrial fishing crews to return to sea and “fish” for trash.

OOH RECRUITMENT POSTERS
Will be placed at major fishing ports.
BAR COASTERS
Sailor’s drinking in harbor side bars is not a movie trope.
SHIPS
A dedicated fleet of repurposed fishing vessels will clean the ocean year-round. Every ship is named after a threatened marine animal.
EXCHANGE STATIONS
Trash pulled from the ocean will be recycled here.
SOCIAL
To get regular people involved, we created shareable clothes made from recycled ocean plastics.
